I agree, but they look to be in decent shape. So here's a suggestion, because I'm a thrifty bugger: Turn the tires blackwalls out, and paint the rims to match your grille, roof and bumpers. They might grow on you that way, until the tires wear out. Are you sure those are 16's?
Yup, they are LT-265/75/R16. I don't mind the rims a much as how tall and wide the tires are. If they were 245's or 235's they would probably look fine.
I don't plan on getting new tires and rims till after I get it running and driving anyway. I like to be original, so I'll probably try and find a set of original rims and center caps.
First things I have to worry about are rebuilding the starter and master cylinder to get her back on the road. That's all assuming it fires up and runs without any engine issues... I haven't had the engine running yet.
