Hi all,
I've been lurking for a while here after bringing home my first Stovebolt a couple weeks ago: A 1958 Chevy Apache 32.

I found her on Ebay. She had been sitting in a garage in Indiana since the mid 90's. Before that she was an Arkansas truck and because of that, the body is in very good shape for it's age. I plan to eventually restore her to original, but right now I'm just working on making her roadworthy again.

Installing a battery made it clear that the starter needs a trip to the rebuild shop (brushes completely worn down). After that, a good cleaning of the gas tank, fuel pump and carb will probably have her running again.

Fixing the nonexistent brakes and finding a set of original wheels and hubcaps will come next after that. Those chrome-nugget rims and 265/75/16 tires really make the truck look weird.

Thanks for making this such a great forum guys. I'm sure you'll be hearing more from me as I make progress with this old beast.
