| | | | Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 2,953 'Bolter | | 'Bolter Joined: Dec 2003 Posts: 2,953 | The 4 gaskets are used basically as shims and can be easily made from gasket material. Having more than one in position on the ball housing/transmission join takes up the slack (described in the shop manual) and if a leak develops loosen the bolts and a gasket can be torn out and the bolts tightened up to make it drip free. | | |
