If you have a 1/2 ton 1951 with the original torque-tube there is one u-joint inside a bell/ball right behind the transmission.
A good u-joint ball gasket and seals kit includes:
1. several gaskets that go between the ball-housing collar and the transmission (check the Shop Manual for number of gaskets to use)
2. a seal that goes between the collar and the ball
3. a seal that goes in the neck of the collar and seals around the torque-tube
