I also went from a Craftsman 14.4 volt drill to a DeWalt 18 volt. Man what a difference.I can leave it lay in the shop for a month and pick it up,and it is ready to go.My first battery drill was a Craftsman which worked good and lasted for years,but however when I replaced it with a new Crsftsman about 5 yrs. ago,it was a piece of crap.Craftsman power tools aint what they used to be.
