You ask a good question... why can't the be recored? Although I've never asked, all you hear is that if the core is shot, it's scrap. It sure would be nice if that were false.
I've got my spare core on the top shelf, but will pull it down tomorrow and photograph all 6 sides next to a ruler.
All you have to do tell me which country's ruler and I'll have him here in the morning and we'll introduce him to your scribe.
