My 1950 3/4 ton has an interesting combination. The engine casting number is 3693374 which indicates a 42-49 235. The head casting number indicates a 50 216. I'm sure the engine is original since it's been in the family since 1950. Most all books show a 1950 with a 216, not a 235. When I buy parts, if I purchase for 235, it is typically the wrong part. I have gotten used to ordering for a 216 to ensure I have the correct parts.
This is the old low pressure system from what I can tell. The side cover goes all the way to the valve cover.
Any ideas what I have and why the books don't show a 235 in this year?
