This has a side cover that goes all the way to the valve cover, with the spark plugs going through it. According to Jim Carter, there were some trucks that had the early 235 that looked like the 216. The only difference was the internal workings. If this is truely a 216, why does the casting # indicate a 235? When I rebuild the head, I recall the length of the push rods being what you indicated.
