Well besides me, your the second one that I've heard from that has shot that formula and agrees that it is a close enough match that it would pass any judgment at any show. Light reflection is gonna give you all sorts of different effects or shades because the metallics in the newer paints are different than the original. The original compounds are simply no longer available. But it's pretty durn close as fur as I'm concerned.
Oh yes, saderdog, I did look those rattle can colors up and if your not a perfectionist, here are a few that are close, not right on but close: Duplicolor, T415 Dark Bronze Mist, T500 Arizona Beige. If you still want to go with a hammer tone, Hammerite Rust-Cap 41185 Bronze.
