I have a 1955 series 1 model 3600 and a 1954 model 6100. Both trucks have a 235 cu.in. engine. The 6100 accelerator pedal is no more than an inch from the floor. Since I have not found the measurement for the distance from the floor to the bottom of the accelerator pedal, I would like to raise the accelerator pedal in the 6100 to the height as in the 3600. The factory assembly manual states the carburetor rod assembly P/N(3696702)is supposed to be the same lenth for both models. But the 6100 carburetor rod assembly is one inch longer than the one on the 3600(10 1/4 inches). I have not measured both accelerator rods yet. But again the manual states they are the same P/N(3701623). Also, the spring in both are different. Does anyone know what the correct spring tension and spring length should be? Again, the manual state P/N 3695705 but no additional information. As always, everyones help and expertise is greatly appreciated.
