I'm not sure if that's going to be the option (NV 4500). The quote I just got in was $2200, including a new 4500, conversion kit (bell housing, fork, ball), Clutch linkage bracket, and shifter handle. While that's a good price for a "new" 5 spd, it may be beyond my budget.
I just don't want buy something from a junkyard and slap it in. The old girl has been running for 35+ years. She deserves a good tranny. Thanks for the advice, guys.
