Hello again, it's been awhile since I've posted, had to take last summer off cause I was pregnant! But I'm back and anxious to get this Chevy on the road. When we bought her there was no tranny, we found one and got it installed but just have the shift levers connected with cotter pins, needless to say it locks up frequently when shifting. My first of many questions to come are what parts do I need and who carries them? I've looked through the archives and the shop manual and I'm guessing that a spring, a washer and a cotter pin were used but I can't find specifics, I guess I'm most curious about the spring and where I can find the right one. Don't want to have things coming apart on me! Thanks in advance, good to be back!
