What is a 283 worth? I have a trusted friend with a 283 sitting on his garage floor. The story is, a friend of his was changing motors and he got the 283. He went to the guys house and the guy started it up, he said it ran well. The guy shut it off and took it out. It has been sitting for 10 or 12 years, covered in a heated, dry garage. It has oil pan, carb. and dist., plugs and plug wires still attached. As some of you know I am new to this motor stuff, so Im' asking you for a ballpark $$ on it's worth. I want to put it in my '55 first series.
