Before anything else, excuses for my bad english. I'm very happy to be here, among so many old truck experts/lovers. I have a brazilian made (by GM here) C-l416 Veraneio, almost a copy of the american '64 C-14 Suburban. Has a 261 engine, four-on-the floor, assisted steering and brakes (disc at front), A/C, and is in in very good shape. I'm working in it at some time. Will send some pictures soon. Now to my question: in order to make valve adjustment more comfortable (climate here in my country is somewhat hot), what if I warm up my 261, adjust only one pair of valves (no. 1 cyl. for instance), wait engine cool down, measure the gap of these two valves, and apply this measurement to the other 10,now cold? Will it work? Many thanks for any opinion or advice.
