The 1/3 fork is not my problem. I have the literature you reference, However it does not outline how to be sure that the match is made, I've tried to look thru the bottom drain hole to see if I've engaged, that doesn't work. After the cover becomes within 1/2 inch of closing it is apparently possible the sync drum moves after the 1/3 fork engages.I apparently failed this connection while the unit was on the bench, now it's on the truck and a real.....lying on my back, I laid there so long today the buzzards were circling overhead thinking I was supper! I'm considering pulling it tomorrow or coating it with a hvy grease to reduce movement Thanks! I'll keep U posted
