I stayed up into the wee small hours reading on allshops! There is way to much info there for even a few sittings! There doesn't seem to be much rust repair done in this area. A couple of years ago, I helped a friend swap out a 216 for a 235 in a '51 1/2 ton pick up. It had been in his family since nearly new and was almost rust free! I think that my problem is that my truck came from the southern edge of the rust belt. The two metal yards that I used to buy from have both gone out of business. I used to build a few trailers. The only blacksmith in the phone book only does horse and mule shoes, but there has to be somewhere. I'm still looking. Thanks for the suggestions.
