Standard 235 heads can be milled to higher compression than the 848 part number and in fact old heads should be surfaced anyway.
Up to .060 cab usually be taken off, even more according to a lot of old info.

Good 235 heads are getting a little difficult to find as are good blocks and other major parts. Ebay and Craigs List as well as the Parts For Sale Forum here are good places to start looking. There is no dollar guideline for used parts, whatever your comfortable with is right for you.
