Marking the location of the distributor housing in the block is great, but remember to mark the location of the rotor IN the housing. It will turn CCW as you extract it and will have to be reinserted so it twists back CW as you stick it in.
Don't sweat any of this...it's very simple to find yourself if you loose your location.
