Hi Bruce,glad you got it finished.Things that come to my mind.
1/try 10degrees timing
2/the jerking at speed may be fuel starvation,you didn't mention a fuel fiter,the E-brock use an external filter,maybe the one you have is not flowing enough at high speed.Remove it and go for a test run
3/make sure you vacum advance is working
