#39706 05/03/2002 6:29 AM | Joined: Feb 2001 Posts: 1,897 Member | | Member Joined: Feb 2001 Posts: 1,897 | That should be a TH700R4.The early ones were not that strong.Look for a later one or have someone update that one with a rebuild and use stronger parts.If you want to handle horsepower, ust the TH400.There is a place that sells performance built TH400`s and TH700R4 trannys capable of handling a LOT of torque.The overdrive is nice but they are expensive.
