Thanks J. but I'm looking for a supplier of this type of material, I think I found one but as usual they supply OEM and probably don't have anything to do with a small operator like me.
Not looking for simply functionality that’s the easy way out, I’m attempting to restore the original switches just as they were supplied from Delco-Remy. If you’ve seen any of my postings on the light switches you would have seen that I’ve been able to duplicate almost all of the parts so far. The bimetal strips are the only remaining parts that I haven’t been able to duplicate.
The later light switches had an additional fuse holder for the stoplights after the thermal cut out. Some of the cut outs have been bypassed with inline fuse holders by do-it-your selfers.
I will take a look at the wood stove store here in town and see if they have anything like your talking about. I would think that it would not be heavy enough for my need. And yes, I’m going to run a load thru the switch to calibrate the cut out at 40amps.
