ON V-8's it is stamped on the part of block that sticks out past the pass side (right) head. I don't know on V-6's like yours, but that may be good choice. May have some letters and then numbers, which are a date code. Letters tell year, vehicle it's in, and trans usually used or carb maybe. You'll need a chart for the codes from somebody or dealer.
