Here is how it goes, slip the wheel on the shaft insert the brush contact (long plastic piece with contacts on each end into the wheel). Then place the horn contact plate it has a tab to guide it in place. Then install the washer/nut. Make sure all contacts are clean. Torque wheel to 35/40 ft-lb’s and hook up contact wire under dash. Install the horn button by pressing it onto the contact plate and test it, some minor adjustments may be necessary but it is a pretty simple mechanism.
