Ol' Marianne, the little 53' 5 window has decided to start going through batteries left and right. I'm getting 13 volts at idle and 13.8-9 at speed. A tad short but still in the green. Is it worth getting a new alternator?

Also the turn signal indicator (red 4 way) has started staying on of late and will run the battery low if I don't drive it for a week or so. Battery is brand new, 3rd one in 20 months.
Gott any ideas and how can I fix that flasher unit?
