For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 257 Shop Shark | | Shop Shark Joined: Dec 2005 Posts: 257 | I just came in from the garage, nearly finished converting the parking brakes on my truck. I've hit a stopping point and thought I'd look for help hear. I did a search and came up with my own post from over a year ago.
I have the rear drums all put back together with new parking brake parts and new cables, but the cables are too long to attach to the standard cross bar on the '50 chassis.
Has anyone else with an AD truck changed their rear axle to a later axle and connected the parking brakes? How did you do it? Tomorrow I'll post some pics on my webshots page of my confusion point.
Thanks for any help. | | |
