As for the lock not having the correct key, I find myself wondering if ANY GM key that fits in the lock might be able to turn the cyclinder counter clockwise so you could remove it and then replace just the cylinder with one that had a matching key from a wreckers or wherever...

Hopefully someone else has tried this and knows... smile
