I forgot to mention... the drums I had on my 1st 59 were always locking up or pulling differently, and causing me to spin out of control. It was really hard to keep em in adjustment espeacially since they did not have automatic adjusters. You can get automatic adjusters off a later truck to help with that problem. Disc brakes don't need the constant adjustment that drum brakes need, so it is another thing to consider.
