I had a vibration in my 53 that started at about 45 MPH and got worse as I increased speed. The problem was the carrier bearing. Mine is a one ton long bed and has two shafts with a carrier bearing in the middle of them. I'm not sure from your post if yours is a single or double shaft but it might be worth looking into.
