The 230 was standard for a 1/2 ton and the 250 was standard in the 3/4 ton so I have been told. The 292 was an option and that likely was for the 3/4 and one ton chassis but I am not certain about this and could also have been available in the 1/2 ton. I question that so many V8's would have been available as Truck Nut mentions. Just seems unlikely as there is no need for that many. Remember that performance in trucks hadn't really started then and trucks were still thought of as utiltarian.
So it depends on what series you have. | | |
