Thanks Bill. Your info makes the wrecker more interesting. I suppose in the day, a man did what he had to do to have a piece of equipment to work with. The engine is a 6-cylinder, either a 235 or 261 (I'm hoping that it is a 261). Would the digit after the "F" be a zero or the letter "O"? The engine would better reinforce the fact that the truck is a '61 or '62 Chevrolet with some sheet metal switching. What do you think?
