| | THANKS!
For helping keep this great
old truck web site
on the Internet for over 30 years! and not clogged down with Ads! Again, thanks! | | | | Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 7 Apprentice | | Apprentice Joined: Sep 2006 Posts: 7 | Thanks for the info. I have an update. Posted 2 more pictures on my Flickr page that better show the grill and hood. The vin # that I listed is correct - 1002 P N28415A. I checked it again today. The tag also says Gross HP is 150 @ 3600 RPM, Net HP is 125 @ 3600 RPM. Max GVW is 5200 lbs. The truck is GMC cab because is has GMC sill plates and a GMC steering wheel but the grill says Chevrolet. The truck looks like a '62 to me???? The serial # on the engine is F0413GC. Which engine is this? I suspect the wrecker was a county school bus garage wrecker. Don't think there has been any vin # switching. It is for sure that some parts were switched around. I wish I had the time and I would restore the truck. I think it is a great piece. Thanks for the help. Carolina Mike | | |
