Most of these sixes are firing order: 1-5-3-6-2-4, front to back. For confirmation, the order is usually stamped into the intake or exhaust manifold somewhere easy to read, if it's not covered in dirt and rust!
Not sure which way the dizzy turns. Maybe pull the distributor cap, see which post the rotor is pointing to, and follow the wire to plug to see which cylinder you're on. Then, when you get it freed up, and turn it a little, you can see which way it spins. Then, yes, the plugs go in firing order in the direction of rotation, so as long as you know where you are when you start, you can get them back on in the right order.
Oops! Have you already pulled the plug wires?! Did you keep track? Of course, if you get it turning, you can also prob. find the TDC mark on the front side of the flywheel - not sure where the inspection hole is on this motor?
