#35372 07/16/2003 12:32 AM | Joined: Feb 2001 Posts: 1,897 Member | | Member Joined: Feb 2001 Posts: 1,897 | Have you checked the oil level in the tranny? there is suppose to be either a shield/slinger or a felt type seal in the front nose-cone of the tranny. Some have a helical cut groove in the tranny input shaft which when it is turning will sort of force the oil back toward the inside of the tranny. Tranny gear oil will be a lot thicker and smell pretty bad as compared to the engine oil. If you are not losing any engine oil, I would definitely inspect the tranny.
There is enough good in the worst of us and enough bad in the best of us that it does not behoove any of us to criticize the rest of us. - - Be yourself. If you are ever lost, It will be much easier to find yourself if you know who you are!
