Another alternative for a donor heater motor, is most 57-67 ford trucks. There 2 speed and have the small shaft that will fit most 40-50's chevy heater fans. The 57-59 motor has a short housing that is very similiar to the 47-53 6 volt motor in dimensions.
Only modification that will need to be made to your heater is drilling out the bodymount holes a 1/16th inch bigger to accept the ford motor bolts. Also in some instances, not all, you may have to flip the fan over or twist the blades in the opposite direction so the fan blows correctly, not a big deal and works fine!
Have done this to many Chevy standered and delux heaters and all have worked out very well!
I have a 50 delux heater in my 41 that I did this to and it will run you out of the truck on low! 12 Volts are wonderful!
