slomoe Member S Joined: Aug 2001 Posts: 139 Ia.	the filter was probably removed for who knows why. You can run it with out a filter as long as all the filter lines are plugged, and if you change the oil often. I'd install a by-pass filter myself. Even if it wasn't the original equipment type. Mike
