Are you still looking for a diagram/photo of the other style tire holder? There were at least two style holders for 1/2 ton A-D trucks and, as stated above, there is a diagram in the Factory Assembly Manual.
One style of the 3100 wheel carrier (from the Factory Assembly Manual).
You will need all the hardware shown and the two supports (3696300).
