The Stovebolt Site Forums The Shop Area Engine Shop 1929 Chev. truck needs a replacement engine...help

I have a 1929 Chev. truck with a marginal engine. I would like to explore using a later engine without heavy butchery. Would some of you experts, that have been around the block a time or two, please share some advice. I would also consider changing to a later 4 speed trans. but once again, I don't want a bunch of carving to do it.
