But you're right, no one was seriously hurt. If I had not run for the ditch that Civic would have hit a 6000 pound truck head-on and I'm sure she would have suffered a bit more. All three of us got out of our cars unassisted and walked away. I'm happy with that!
Unless the frame is twisted, or the rear axle bent, the truck is fixable. I doubt either car came out that well. The truck is totaled because its old, but not old enough to have value because its old.
