I went truck shopping yesterday and looked at some beautiful trucks that cost a lot more than my first house. I suppose I could pay the $40,000 or $50,000 for a truck but its not what I want.

And if I did it wouldn't be worth the purchase price once I signed the papers and drove it off the lot either. While I'll squeeze my dollars tightly, this really isn't about money, its about preferring an old truck, but demanding modern capabilities.

You're using a 6400 frame as the basis of your project, and later P30 axles if I remember correctly. How have you determined your truck is built heavy enough to suit your needs?
