235s don't oil thru the pushrods. All the 55-later engines use the longer tubular pushrods, regardless of lifter. Most 235 engines '58-'62 had hyd lifters, esp engines in sedans. Still have to look up the solid lifter specs for a 58 engine. Hydraulic adjustment is 1/4-1/2 turn past zero lash.
The 848 head was '56-62.
