I agree with all the others here and would only add that your best bet may turn out to be a 383 crate motor from GM Performance Parts. Reliable, powerful and comparitively inexpensive. One model is made for high torque truck applications right out of the box. Since it is abasic 350 block darn near anything is available to bolt on it.
