Also the rear bumper on my 49 sub has a hole torched in the center of it by an unknown PO probably for a trailer hitch. Can this hole be repaired by welding in a patch with no adverse affect on the integrity of the bumper? If the bumpers are not the same I would like to rechrome the original after fixing the hole.
