The Detroit 60 series has been out about 15 years. It's an inline 6-cylinder about the size and weight of a Cummins 855 cubic inch engine. it's totally computer controlled, doesn't even have mechanical throttle linkage. Pretty good engine, so i hear, but I don't have much hands-on experience on them.
