Well, I should have known something would go wrong. I got my 261 in and fired up and the radiator decided to spring a bad leak. I guess I will have to get a new one, Jim Carter has them cheaper than re-cores.

I also hope I didn't fry a ring, I had cylinders 5 and 6 switched at the distributor and let it run for a few minutes that way, and was getting some blow-by, and then when I swapped them back it started smoking bad. I'm going to try to run some atf through there and unstick the rings, and change the oil, otherwise I will have a fogger for a while until I get this thing rebuilt.

Other than that it runs great, smooth and starts easily. The 6 volt starter really cranks well on 12 volts. The oil pressure is good, the rockers are oiling, and the vacuum is good. The alternator and short water pump shaft with foamoco pulley fit nicely.
