My understanding that GM built the last 235 powered vehicles for the 1962 model year. How long after that GM continued to build the engines--I don't know. I've heard reports that new engines were manufactured for export to S. American countries principally Mexico--haven't verified.
You would want to contact the person selling the vehicle in the swapmeet to discuss the engine--my guess is that it would be a rebuilt engine. Gud luk.
