Now I remember you did back the brakes off by turning the adjusters the correct way through the holes in the backing plate,,,,I am sure you did

Then you took the dust cap off the center of the hub,then you took out the cotter-pin.I am sure you took off the nut keeper then the nut and outer bearing.Got your hands all greasy now! grin
then the hub nearly fell off the spindle when you pulled on it,,,,,If not, keep trying. grin
