Gosh, I never had any of those problems. The insurance agent just chose 1958 from a pull-down menu, Chevy, truck, etc. I had the title in hand. ICBC never made any fuss about it and its from California. They actually have an insurance agent inside ICBC in North Vancouver - go through the building to the back (closest to the water-side). If they have issue, they will call upstairs.
