A buddy of mine had his box made at a sheet metal shop, made the tail gate from flat sheet and welded on some exhaust tubing for the top and bottom. You just need to locate an original box for measurements. Not sure on the years, need to check Chevy books for wheelbase in those years, may be near the same from 34 to about 38.
