I don't mean to hijack the thread but can you really use 54 gears in a 37 tranny? If so how about the newer gears in a 46 tranny? When did they go the the cross cut gears and would this be an advantage for my spare 46 trans that's now sitting in a bunch of pieces just waiting to be rebuilt.
Inquiring minds want to know.
