You can use a quart to CC the 228-248 head
I wouldn't be cuttin' much off the stock piston
Sooooo buy Ross
Then 228-248 you can run flat tops and a 270-302 head
Piston weight is a problem only if you wanna rev a bunch
I'm running a 12 port Fisher to lighten the whole mess up
